Chosen as one of the most eligible bachelors in America, Alex Michel was selected to be the star of the prime-time hit “The Bachelor.” As the original “Bachelor” in 2002, Alex helped to launch ABC’s successful franchise and started the romance reality TV phenomenon.
Alex played a key role in publicity efforts for “The Bachelor,” appearing on Good Morning America, Live with Regis and Kelly, CNN, and many others. He has been featured in People Magazine, US Weekly, Entertainment Weekly, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, TV Guide, and many others.
After “The Bachelor,” Alex served as a spokesperson for Match.com and provided commentary on romance and courtship on television and in a variety of media including newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and live events.
Previously, Alex’s love of film and travel inspired him to produce travel documentaries in over 20 countries around the world and later short Internet films for a major technology firm. A graduate of Harvard University, with an MBA from Stanford, Alex has a strong business background and is currently an executive at a media and technology company.
